Royal Camel participates in the King Abdulaziz Camel Festival

The Royal Camel continues its participation in the King Abdul Aziz Camel Festival held in Al-Sayahid, northeast of the Saudi capital, Riyadh.

RIYADH: The Royal Camel continues its participation in the King Abdul Aziz Camel Festival in its seventh edition, which is currently being held in Al-Sayahid, northeast of the Saudi capital, Riyadh. The festival includes many performances like making camels do tricks, such as turning and crawling, along with presentations of traditional Omani arts such as Al-Himbal, and Al-Tariq, and a performance by the members of the Sultanian Camel Band. The festival also includes an art exhibition that reviews activities, interests, and achievements in the field of camels.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Engineer Bandar bin Ali Al-Qahtani, Executive Director of the Camel Club and the Deputy General Supervisor of the King Abdulaziz Camel Festival, in the presence of Hamid bin Ali Al-Zarai, Director General of the Royal Camel. The exhibition included His Majesty the Sultan’s Cup for camel racing, in addition to a number of cups achieved in various competitions, and pictures displaying the skills of dealing with camels.

In addition to pictures of traditional arts related to the heritage of camels, and pictures of the previous participations of the Royal Camel Festival in the King Abdul Aziz Camel Festival “Third Edition” and “Sixth Edition”, the exhibition included a visual presentation for visitors on various events and activities. It also witnesses the participation of a number of small and medium enterprises registered with the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority, who displayed their traditional Omani products to the visitors of the festival, such as silverware, handicrafts, crafts, antiques, and souvenirs related to Oman.
