MUSCAT: January 11, the ascension day will now be an official holiday, according to a Royal Decree issued by His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik.
On Wednesday, His Majesty issued a Royal Decree No 88/2022 specifying the days of official holidays.
January 11 is the day when His Majesty Sultan Haitham assumed the reins of power.

His Majesty also issued the Royal Decree stating that November 18 and 19 will be an official holiday for National Day.
