LONDON- The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Information, participated in an event in London organized by the Foreign Press Association.
Joining the event via videoconference, Oman’s Minister of Information Dr. Abdullah bin Nasser al Harrasi spoke about the Sultanate’s views on the FPA. Dr. Harrasi said that Oman’s support for the efforts of the FPA stems from the belief in the media’s role in developing international and intercultural understanding.
The Minister also talked about Oman’s economic diversification policy to diminish the dependence on fossil fuels, an action that was a part of Oman’s efforts in addressing climate change, and touched on the impacts of the climate conditions that prevailed in the country last year, along with the drought that persisted in the UK at the same time.
