MUSCAT : The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sultanate of Oman, has expressed its sympathy towards Indonesia after a 5.6-magnitude earthquake shook Jakarta on Monday. The Ministry sent out a statement following the incident, expressing its sincere condolences to the government, the Indonesian people, and the families of the victims, and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
The earthquake, the epicenter of which has been located in Cianjur in West Java, has claimed at least 44 lives, as per current reports, and has left about 300 injured, despite prompt evacuations in Jakarta’s central business district.
