MUSCAT : Civil diving teams and community volunteers participated in the campaign, which comes within the administration’s concerns in the field of preserving environment and protecting its natural resources, as well as contributing to the faster growth of coral reefs.

Yarob bin Ali Al Hashimi, Head of the Environmental Conservation Department, explained that the aim of the campaigns is to preserve marine environment in general, and coral reefs in particular. This is for the sustainability of marine environment in Oman.

He pointed out that fishermen and beachgoers must preserve them as one of the integrated ecosystems that are of great economic and tourism importance.
