MUSCAT: Harith bin Muhammad Al Batashi is the winner in the Culture branch for realizing Omani heritage; the ‘Alden Theatre Troupe’ is the winner of ‘Arts’, and writer Mona Bint Hibras Al-Salimiya is the ‘Literature’ section winner.
The Award saw 96 nominations, including 11 in the field of Omani heritage achievement, 12 in theatrical troupes, and 73 in the article.
The annual award, which was established under Royal Decree No 18/2011 to recognize excellence in culture, arts, and literature, also assesses various forms of music, fine arts, sculpture, and photography, in addition to literary works such as poetry, novel, short story, literary criticism, and drama productions.
Each winner will receive OMR 50,000 for their achievement in the chosen field.
