MUSCAT: The NCSI, in a social media announcement, drew the attention of its followers to fraudulent international calls, made in the pretext of public opinion polls. It urged the public not to respond or provide any information or data related to individuals or about Oman’s relations with other countries of the world.
The Center confirmed that these phone numbers do not represent any government agency in the Sultanate of Oman and the callers did not obtain a license or prior approval from it to conduct a public opinion poll in the Sultanate of Oman, as per the Statistics and Information Law issued by Royal Decree No. 55/2019.
