MUSCAT: The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion received 8,734 applications, which comprised of 8,044 for national and international trademarks, 505 applications for patents, 87 applications for intellectual items claimed as copyrights, 13 applications for industrial design and 85 applications for usufruct license.
