MUSCAT: Royal Oman Police’s Al Dakhiliyah Governorate Police Command continued their efforts to search for the missing citizen – Hamida bint Hamoud Al Amriya – in cooperation with the specialized various ROP teams including a dog squad of the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority.
Hamida, 57, left her family’s home in Izki on October 3 and hasn’t been traced ever since. Earlier, the ROP in a joint operation with the support of the Sultan Qaboos Academy for Police Sciences also conducted a search for the mother in Sima village and neighboring villages of Wilayat of Izki.

According to ROP, Hamida went to the local Qur’an memorisation school on the fateful day and failed to return home.
The ROP has posted the missing person’s details on social media and citizens have been actively participating with the authorities in the search.
Two weeks ago, the ROP was forced to dismiss rumours on social media about news that they found the missing mother as fake.
