MUSCAT : In a B division match on Friday , Vanderlande beat Ideal International by 6 wickets to claim their 1^st win. Putting Ideal International to bat first , Vanderlande had the top hand claiming 6 wickets in the half-way mark of 15 overs of Ideal’s batting. Llewelyn Korada’s 57 along with Abdul Ghani’s 33 took Ideal’s innings to 139 bundling out in 26 overs. Aiyyapan B and Aasim Mohd claimed 4 and 3 wickets each respectively. In for the chase , Asfak Ahmed’s quick fire 51 of 25 balls and a couple of 30+ scores from Reddy Prasath and Vinayangam B saw Vanderlande chase the target in 14.3 overs. In another B division match on Friday, Bank Muscat edged past Manis CT by 4 wickets. Put to bat first, Manis CT scored 207 runs bundling down in 29.1 overs. Mohd Saleem and Adnan Ul Haq’s 39 each was the key among the runs. Deepak K, Benny Mathew, Mohd Umar and Zubair Balushi claim 2 wickets each for Bank Muscat. Chasing 207 , Opener Amir Mehmood’s 55 of 44 balls and Ali Raza’s 63 of 59 balls sealed the game for Bank Muscat convincingly. In a D division match on Friday, OCT Mabela trounce RSTS FCC by 13 runs. Electing to Bat first , OCT Mabela’s Opener Asif Al Balushi scored a quick fire 48 of 34 balls with cordial support from Shareef Al Balushi 53 of 49 balls taking their total to 169 in 20 overs. Anzil N and Imtiaz KA pulled back OCT Mabela to go on to a big total claiming 3 wickets and 2 wickets each. OCT Mabela kept taking regular wickets to restrict RSTS FCC to get to the target. Issam Al Balushi claimed 4 wickets in his spell to ensure OCT Mabela win convincingly. Brief Scores: OCT Mabela 169/8 in 20 overs (Asif Al Balushi 48(34) 5×4 , Sharif Al Balushi 53(49) 5×4 ; Anzil N 35/3) beat RSTC FCC 156/9 (Puladith Omidu 36(21) 4×4 ; Issam Al Balushi 29/4) by 13 runs.
