MUSCAT: Within the Sultanate of Oman’s program to complement the World Cup Qatar 2022, the Royal Oman Police has announced the start of receiving applications for the World Cup fan visa to enter the Sultanate of Oman (Hayya card holders) and enjoy the various facilities and benefits of the visa.
The facility is provided in celebration of hosting the World Cup in the region; efforts are on in Oman to ensure World Cup success, and to promote Muscat as a satellite city for World Cup fans and to provide an accessible and exceptional experience in Oman.
This visa is free and multiple-entry, with a validity period of up to 60 days, and the option of extending the stay.
Hayya card holders will be allowed to bring along their immediate family and will also be permitted to change the visa of another category while in the Sultanateof Oman, according to the applicable requirements.
The visa can be obtained by submitting the application via the Omani electronic visa website (evisa.rop.gov.om), after the fan obtains a Hayya card from the State of Qatar. Interested fans need to attache a copy of the travel ticket, a personal photo and a copy of the passport, in addition to attaching a confirmed hotel reservation within the Sultanate of Oman.
