MUSCAT: The joint Omani-French military exercise code named Mountain Warrior 2022 began at the training centres in Al Jabal Al Akhdar on Wednesday. The Sultanate’s Royal Army of Oman, represented by Mountain Regiment at the 23rd Infantry Brigade, will join the French Army and will conclude on November 3.
The exercise comes within the framework of the annual training plans carried out by the RAO jointly with brotherly and friendly countries. The aim of the joint exercise is to carry out the tasks entrusted to it to the fullest.

Meanwhile, the joint military exercise between RAO and Gulf military exercise held in Saudi Arabia which began on Saturday concluded on Wednesday with the participation of all unit commanders affiliated with the Peninsula Shield Forces in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
The joint Gulf military exercise was conducted under a drawn plan and the mechanism of its implementation in order to serve the national goals of the GCC countries.
The participation of the RAO in this exercise comes within the framework of the training plan pursued by the leadership of the RAO to maintain the high level of performance and combat readiness of its affiliates. Organizing, preparing and implementing them in order to achieve the drawn national goals and to exchange military expertise.
Meanwhile, the Moral Guidance of the Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces has tweeted the broadcast time of their programmes for the weekend.
