MUSCAT: The Sultanate of Oman’s Ministry of Health has urged all – both the citizens and residents – to co-operate with the ongoing comprehensive national survey for vector borne diseases.

The survey began in all governorates on October 16 and will continue for another three months.

The survey is carried out by specialized field teams wearing official identification (ID) cards.

As part of the survey, the surveyors who carry out investigations in areas (residential, agriculture farms, commercial) where insects breed may need to enter homes for taking swabs and samples.

In the interest of the public interest and for the success of the comprehensive national survey for vector borne diseases, the ministry urged all – citizens and residents – to cooperate with the surveyors so that they carry out their duties and submit comprehensive reports to the ministry.

The Ministry wanted all to ignore false rumors and fake news circulating about the survey teams and urged all to follow official information.
