MUSCAT – The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion (MoCIIP) will hold its sixth session of ‘Tejarah Talks’ on Wednesday, 2nd November, at 7.30pm. Entitled ‘Gen Z and the Creative Industries’, the event will be held at the Omantel Headquarters, in Airports Heights.

Organized in partnership with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth and Oman Business Forum the ‘Tejarah Talks’ panel line-up includes HH Sayyid Dr. Adham Al Said, Founder and CEO, The Firm (Moderator); Dr. Mona Ismail, Dean, Scientific College of Design; Dr. Abdul Azeez Al Ghareebi, Head of Design, University of Technology and Applied Sciences; Samah Al Ansari, Founder, Studio Sein; and Maryam Al Kharbooshi, Director, Cultural Identity Department, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth.

A statement issued by the team Tejarah Talks, said, “As an integral part of Oman Vision 2040, we think it’s fair to say the creative industries will play an important role in our economic success. Whether it’s products, architecture, film, fashion or design, Oman’s creative class has not only the potential to generate wealth, attract investment and talent but also influence and help shape how the rest of the world sees us. Indeed, Oman’s creative economy is interwoven into our awe-inspiring history. And while heritage is always, by definition, from the past, creativity is always, by definition, new. They need each other and we all need them to enrich our lives. There’s no doubt, creativity is the new gold.”

Tejarah Talks is free-of-charge and open to everyone. Interested folks are required to email their name and mobile number to TT@tejarah.gov.om
