SALALAH: The Port of Salalah received the cruise ship ‘Queen Elizabeth’ with 1,651 tourists on board as part of its tourism program in a number of ports around the world on Friday.

The program for the passengers of the cruise ship – coming from the Egyptian port of Safaga and heading to Port Rashid in the Emirate of Dubai – included tours that included the most important archaeological, tourist and historical monuments for which the Governorate of Dhofar is famous, in addition to visiting the beaches and traditional markets in the city of Salalah.

The Sultanate annually witnesses the visit of many cruise ships for its marine location overlooking the Indian Ocean, the Arabian Sea and the Sea of Oman.
