MUSCAT: The Ministry of Interior announced the final list of candidates for the Municipal Council membership for the third term – through the election website (elections.om) – with a total of 727 candidates, including 28 women.
According to Article 41 of the Municipal Council Elections Regulations, each candidate may conduct electoral propaganda to introduce themselves, from the date of announcing the final lists of candidates, until the day prior to the day of voting.
The means of electoral propaganda have been specified as billboards, publications, local newspapers, and meeting with voters, provided that electoral propaganda requests are submitted through the election website.
