MUSCAT : The Ministry of Energy and Minerals will announce the introduction of opportunities and incentives for investments in the green hydrogen sector, and officially launch Oman Hydrogen Company, at a press conference next week. The conference, scheduled to be held on Sunday, will talk about the details of the lofty directives of the Sultanate in achieving carbon neutrality in 2050.
The ministry has taken important steps towards accelerating the procedures for regulating the hydrogen sector, setting the legal frameworks and policies necessary for its growth, allocating appropriate sites for its production to enhance investment attraction, working to localize this technology and preparing the necessary studies for it.
