MUSCAT: The Sultanate of Oman marks October 17 as an exclusive day to celebrate Omani women who are amazing and have changed their world. Their achievements,many are, simply incredible!
Her Highness the Honourable Lady Sayyida Ahad Bint Abdullah Al Busaidi, Spouse of His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik led by congratulating the Omani Women’s Day: “Thank you to every Omani who sprouts in her hands the winds of giving and giving.”
Definitely, Omani women are a source of pride which everyone has vouched for because of their pioneering role alongside men in every field.
“The Sultanate of Oman continues to implement the vision of the wise leadership to develop the role of women and empower them in Omani society, by creating the appropriate environment for women’s participation in sustainable development and emphasizing their pivotal role in the family and society, leadership and participation in decision-making positions with their support and empowerment based on laws and regulations and Omani legislation.”

The Honourable Lady added: “Omani Women’s Day is one of the inevitably important national days for every Omani woman. What can Omani women offer for the coming years, as this day is not only a celebration, but a day of achievements and a day of motivation to move forward towards a better future, and to know where the wheel of empowerment in Omani women has reached.”
On the Omani Women’s Day, Her Highness Sayyida Basma Al Said, an advocate of mental health in Oman and a renowned psychotherapist, confirmed that she looks at empowering women with another view. “Women in general are born blessed and exalted and that the true religion recommended them. Women need support and continue to reach the goal and the Omani woman was supported and the rights and support of laws and legislations by late His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said and she enjoys full care and care in the era of the renewed Renaissance led by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik where he directs the Omani women with sublime care.”
Sumaiya Siyabi, the Omani innovator who was crowned with the title of Star of Science on Friday night, said: “Women are a source of pride and inspiration. Be a star in your field and it is special. Your achievement, small or big, will give you great confidence.”
Lawyer Reem bint Nour Al Zadjali said: “I am proud of the appreciation and equality achieved by the Omani women lawyer. Today, the total number of female lawyers registered in the Lawyers’ Affairs Committee is 1,300, and in the last two years, 836 female lawyers have been trained and this is clear evidence of the development taking place and continuous support of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik.”
Ibtisam Al-Salmiya, a successful sailor, said: “Women are an integral part of society and very active in all fields. The Omani woman, thanks to her determination, has proven that nothing is impossible and everything can be achieved if one continues to pursue his ambitions and goals, no matter what. Today, I see women competing with men. With all honour and respect, we all represent Oman. In the field of sports, I congratulate all the professional female athletes in their sport and I know that the field is full of risks but our love and passion for sports make us take risks and rise above all negatives to achieve the highest ranks and raise the Sultanate’s flag high.”
Musician Shahd bint Zahran Al Qasimia, a student of Sultan Qaboos University where she is majoring in music and musical sciences, said on Omani Women’s Day that her contributions in art and culture which are integral parts of Oman’s history also get highlighted.
Today, Omani woman is successful in every field and that did not come out of nowhere but by believing in her ability to contribute to build Oman under the leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and the first lady of Oman, Her Highness the Honourable Lady Sayyida Ahad Bint Abdullah Al Busaidi.
