MUSCAT : Ministry of Health has announced the implementation of a comprehensive national survey on vector-borne disease vectors to promote and protect individuals and the society from outbreaks. The survey will create a database on these vectors and their places of reproduction to facilitate better control operations.

The will be held in various governorates of the Sultanate of Oman; it will cover all populated areas throughout the Sultanate of Oman, and will also include areas frequented by tourists, labor camps and areas with human activity. The survey may last for 3 months, as the duration of the survey varies between the governorates and is dependent on the population density and geographical nature.

The Ministry of Health urges everyone to cooperate and facilitate the work of the participating survey teams to carry out this national project to the fullest.
