MUSCAT : H.E. Dr. Hilal bin Ali bin Hilal Al Sabti, Minister of Health, has issued directives to amend procedures for cancellation of medical examination fees charged by private health institutions for new and renewal of expatriate visas in the country.
As per the amendments, a request needs to be submitted through Sanad offices with a fee of OMR 30, following which the expatriate would be directed to conduct the test in private health centers for free, starting from November 1, 2022.
The same would be checked and approved electronically by the Ministry, and delivered to the expatriate within 24 hours.

Previously, the medical examination fee paid to the private health centre, was in addition to the fees charged by the Ministry for approving the result.
