Jordanian community in Oman upbeat ahead of King Adullah II’s visit

MUSCAT: Jordan nationals residing in Oman are upbeat ahead of an official visit by King Abdullah II to the Sultanate on Tuesday.

King Abdullah will be in Muscat for a two-day visit during which he will meet His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik.

Hussein Al-Saedeen, Head of the Jordanian Social Club in the Governorate of Dhofar, stressed that the Jordanian-Omani relations, historically, are an example to be followed, and that the visit of His Majesty King Abdullah II comes at a very opportune time.

“It reflects positively on the people of the two nations and the brotherly ties they share and the feelings of love and brotherhood between the two communities,” he added.

The volume of commercial exchange between Oman and Jordan grew by 33.8% to OMR 61.855 million in 2021, compared to OMR 46.236 million in 2020.

In Oman, the number of Jordanian business reached a total of 621 firms operating in the sectors of trade, services, industry and constructions.
