MUSCAT : In a tweet following the unveiling of the life-size statue of Mahatma Gandhi at the premises of Indian Embassy, visiting External Affairs Minister of India, V Muraleedharan, said he was honored. ‘Mahatma’s message of courage, truth and brotherhood is more relevant than ever today. The statue will honor his abiding legacy for the world,’ he wrote.
Commissioned by the Indian Council of Cultural Relations (ICCR), the life-size bronze statue of Mahatma Gandhi is the first ever in Oman. It will stand tall as a reflection of historical relations between Oman and India.
