Thailand scraps all COVID-19 entry rules

The Sultanate‘s embassy in Bangkok tweeted that local authorities have cancelled COVID certificates and test results for entering the country

MUSCAT: The Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in the Kingdom of Thailand has on Saturday said that the conditions and related documents, such as the vaccination certificate and COVID-19 test results for entering Thailand, have been cancelled.

The embassy tweeted that the cancellation takes effect from Saturday. “Following up on the travel procedures taken by the Thai authorities to enter the country due to COVID-19, the embassy notes that the relevant conditions and documents, such as vaccination certificate and examination results, have been canceled as of October 1, 2022 AD,” it said on Saturday.

A direct flight from Muscat to Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, takes 6 to 7 hours, it said
