MUSCAT: The Consumer Protection Authority awarded OMR 25,000 to a citizen in Rustaq of the Governorate of South Al Batinah on Thursday.
According to the complaint, the consumer who purchased a vehicle from a dealer in the South Al Batinah, was found to be of different specifications which was agreed upon before buying.
The dealer failed to replace or return the amount despite several reminders by the customer.

On receiving the complaint, the CPA examined both the customer and the dealer and an amicable settlement was reached between the two. According to the agreement, the dealer would return the vehicle and an amount of OMR 25,250.
