MUSCAT: Dr. Iman bint Sulaiman Al Hatmi, a resident doctor of the dermatology department at the Omani Council for Medical Specialties, won two awards at the 7th Middle East International Conference and Exhibition on Dermatology and Aesthetic Medicine (MEIDAM 2022) held in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates.
Dr. Iman bint Sulaiman Al Hatmi said: “My participation came with two scientific posters about rare skin conditions, the first poster was about a case of a rare type of psoriasis, and the second poster is about a rare skin side effect of Imatinib used in the treatment of some types of cancer, and an oral presentation of a research paper on awareness of laser hair removal,” she said and added that it won third place in the category of best scientific posters and third place in the category of best oral presentations.”
Earlier, she had won first place for scientific poster presentations at the Fourth Muscat International Dermatology Conference and Exhibition in 2021.

The three-day conference hosted by Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences in Dubai was attended by about 2,200 doctors and specialists in dermatology and cosmetics from the region and the world.
