IBRI: The Sultanate of Oman joined the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia who celebrated their 92nd National Day on Friday organized by the General Secretariat for National Celebrations in cooperation with the Royal Oman Police at the Empty Quarter border crossing.
Abdullah bin Saud Al-Enezi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Sultanate of Oman, was the chief guest.
The celebration activities included a number of paintings embodying the historical relations between the two countries. The ceremony began with a musical performance by the Royal Oman Police, followed by folk dance by a band in Al Dhahirah Governorate. Paragliding and jumping shows too were conducted.

“This celebration reflects the close and solid relations between the two countries, praising the historical relations linking the Sultanate of Oman with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,” the ambassador said, adding the two countries’ efforts to strengthen cooperation at all levels for the service of the two brotherly countries and peoples.
The Saudi envoy added that the Empty Quarter border crossing between the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is an icon of the strategic relations between the two countries and represents relations in all economic, investment, tourism and trade fields.
The ceremony was attended by a number of officials from the Omani side, the Saudi side, and citizens.
