Sandwiches are made everywhere and can be made in countless various ways. Obviously, certain individuals consider sandwiches differently. The name sandwich initially came from a man by the name of Lord Sandwich. Lord Sandwich was a betting man, and he would be given bread and meat to eat during his betting time at the table.

TOMATO CHEESE SANDWICH

INGREDIENTS

1 tsp butter

½ onion (finely chopped)

 2 tomatoes (finely chopped)

 ¼ tsp turmeric

 1 tsp pav bhaji masala

 ½ tsp salt

2 tbsp coriander (finely chopped)

for sandwich assembly:

 bread

butter

green chutney

tomato slice

cheese slice

Chaat masala

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Firstly, in a pan heat 1 tsp butter and sauté ½ onion.
  2. Add 2 tomato and sauté until tomatoes turn soft and mushy.
  3. Add ¼ tsp turmeric, 1 tsp pav bhaji masala and ½ tsp salt.
  4. Sauté on low flame until the spices turn aromatic.
  5. Add 2 tbsp coriander and mix well. tomato stuffing is ready.
  6. To prepare the sandwich, spread butter on 2 slices of bread.
  7. Spread green chutney
  8. Further top with 1 tbsp of prepared tomato stuffing.
  9. Place 2 slice of tomato and 1 slice of cheese.
  10. Sprinkle some chaat masala and cover with bread slice.
  11. Grill the sandwich to golden brown on both sides.
  12. Finally, enjoy tomato sandwich with tomato sauce.

GRILLED CHEESE PIZZA SANDWICH

INGREDIENTS

1 onion (finely chopped)

3 tbsp sweet corn

1 tomato (finely chopped)

½ capsicum (finely chopped)

3 tbsp paneer (cubes)

¼ tsp pepper powder

½ tsp salt

¼ cup mayonnaise (eggless)

2 tbsp tomato sauce

1 tsp chilli sauce

1 tsp green chutney

¼ cup cheese (grated)

For one sandwich:

3 slice bread (white or brown)

butter (to spread)

3 tbsp tomato sauce

1 tsp green chutney

8 slice cucumber

4 slice tomato

2 tbsp potato (boiled & mashed)

pinch chaat masala

½ tsp chilli sauce

¼ tsp chilli flakes

¼ tsp mixed herbs

2 tbsp pizza cheese (grated)

METHOD

  1. Firstly, in a large bowl take 1 onion, 3 tbsp sweet corn, 1 tomato, ½ capsicum and 3 tbsp paneer.
  2. Add ¼ tsp pepper powder, ½ tsp salt and mix well.
  3. Add ¼ cup mayonnaise, 2 tbsp tomato sauce, 1 tsp chilli sauce, 1 tsp green chutney and ¼ cup cheese.
  4. Mix well making sure everything is well combined. The stuffing is ready.
  5. Take 3 slices of bread and spread butter.
  6. On one of the slices spread 1 tbsp tomato sauce and on another 1 tsp green chutney.
  7. Spread 2 tbsp of prepared stuffing on one slice of bread.
  8. Cover with a slice of bread that is buttered.
  9. Place 8 slice cucumber, 4 slice tomato, 2 tbsp potato, pinch chaat masala, and 1 tbsp tomato sauce.
  10. Cover with a bread slice, in which green chutney is spread.
  11. Press gently, butter the sandwich and grill to a golden brown.
  12. Place the sandwich in a pan. make sure to place a plate or stand at the bottom to prevent burning.
  13. Spread 1 tbsp tomato sauce, ½ tsp chilli sauce, ¼ tsp chilli flakes and ¼ tsp mixed herbs.
  14. Spread uniformly, you can alternatively use pizza sauce here.
  15. Top with 2 tbsp of grated pizza cheese.
  16. Cover and cook for 5 minutes or until cheese melts.
  17. Finally, slice half and enjoy grilled cheese pizza sandwich with potato chips.
