MUSCAT: Internet speed in Oman is among the best globally, according to Speedtest Global Index.
Oman has been ranked 36th globally for the month of August 2022, which was recently issued by the global platform Speed Test.
The internet speed reached 46.56 megabytes per second, and it was ranked with the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain as the best Arab countries in internet speed.

Norway topped the index, followed by the UAE, Qatar, South Korea, Cuba, Afghanistan, and Venezuela.
The Speedtest Global Index compares Internet speed data from around the world on a monthly basis. Data for the index comes from hundreds of millions of tests taken every month and over 10mn unique tests conducted every day using Speedtest.
The average download speed in the world is about 30.79 Mbps.
