MUSCAT: The US State Department’s Office of Economic and Trade Affairs reported that the Sultanate of Oman has witnessed progress in the field of financial transparency.
In the report ‘Oman’s Financial Transparency 2022’, published by Federal NewsWire, it stressed that the Omani government has made great progress, by ensuring the existence of a sound legal framework for its sovereign wealth fund, and revealed its sources of funding and its general approach to withdrawals.
The report added that the government had made its approved budget and year-end report widely available, so that the public could easily access them, including on the Internet.
