MUSCAT: Muscat Municipality on Sunday said it will soon start the expansion project of Al Mouj-18th November Street in a bid to reduce traffic congestion.
Muscat Municipality said the roads will be expanded to three lanes in each direction, and convert Al-Mouj Roundabout, Al-Bahja Roundabout, and Al-Ishraq Roundabout in Al-Hail North with “high-capacity intersections equipped with traffic light signals.”
Apart from this the Municipality said it will pave service streets for existing commercial buildings in the area.

“The project aims to enhance the traffic movement in the area, raise its efficiency, work on its flow at various times, activate the development and commercial movement, and serve the plans and facilities surrounding the area,” the Municipality added.
