Banks’ deposits increases in Oman

In a statement issued by the Central Bank of Oman said the deposits reached OMR 17.5 billion compared to the same period in 2021.

MUSCAT: The total private sector deposits with commercial banks and Islamic windows in Oman has increased by one per cent by the end of June 2022.

In a statement issued by the Central Bank of Oman said the deposits reached OMR 17.5 billion compared to the same period in 2021.

The total volume of local liquidity increased by the end of last June by 3.3 percent to reach OMR 20.7 billion compared to the same period in 2021.

The data indicated that the total loans and financing of commercial banks increased by 4.1 percent to reach OMR 28.4 billion by the end of June 2022 compared to the same period in 2021.
