In an emotional tribute to his beloved mother, he said: “May flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.”
Prince William and Catherine will become Prince and Princess of Wales, he said, as he expressed his love for his son Prince Harry and wife Meghan.

“Whatever may be your background and beliefs, I shall endeavour to serve you with loyalty, respect and love,” King Charles said.
“To my darling Mama, as you begin your journey to meet our late Papa, I want to say thank you,” he added.
Queen Elizabeth II, the UK’s longest-serving monarch, died on Thursday at Balmoral aged 96, after reigning for 70 years.
The Queen came to the throne in 1952. Prince Charles succeeded as King of United Kingdom with immediate effect.
