MUSCAT: Naseem Shah emerged the unlikely hero for Pakistan as they beat Afghanistan by one wicket to reach cricket Asia Cup final held in the UAE.

In Sunday’s title clash, they take on Sri Lanka.

On Wednesday’s Super 4 match, Naseem steered his team to victory by hitting two sixes in the final over.
Needing 11 to win with only one wicket in hand, he hit Fazalhaq Farooqi for successive sixes for the win.
The verdict also knocked both India and Afghanistan out of the continental event.

Indians were rooting for a Afgan win to sneak into final.

At Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Afghani bowlers were on fire as they picked both Pak captain Babar Azam and Fakhar Zaman early while chasing a modest target of 130.

On Thursday, India play for pride against Afghanistan in their last match of ‘Super 4’ engagements.
