MUSCAT: After declaring holiday for schools in the five Governorates facing power outage, the Ministry of Education has now postponed examinations scheduled for Tuesday.
The second round of the General Education Diploma exams which was scheduled on Tuesday (September 6) has been postponed due to the power outage on Monday noon and now will resume from Wednesday (September 7) as per schedule.
The ministry in a statement early on Tuesday said: “Due to the power outage in a number of the wilayats of the Sultanate of Oman, the Ministry of Education announces the postponement of the exams for the general education diploma for the academic year 2021/2022 for the second round on Tuesday, September 6, 2022. Exams will resume on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 according to the approved schedules.”
Meanwhile, electricity has been restored in all affected areas of the Governorate of Muscat.
