MUSCAT: The Ministry of Education has suspended classes on Tuesday (September 6, 2022) for both public and private schools affected by the power outage.
In a statement issued, the Ministry said: “Study will be suspended tomorrow (Tuesday) in public, private schools affected by a power outage. The Education Directorate in each governorate shall list those schools in coordination with their administrations. Study to be resumed on Wednesday.”
Oman was brought to a standstill on Monday by an unprecedented power blackout. Electricity services have been restored in large parts of the country after more than five hours of outage.
