Kuwait to train 82 Omani GPs

The training has been organized as part of International Day of Osteoporosis on October 20

MUSCAT: A Kuwaiti delegation led by Dr. Nadia Al-Ali, President of the Kuwaiti Osteoporosis Association will train about 82 Omani general practitioners (GPs) soon at the Military Hospital and Al-Diwan Hospital in the capital, Muscat.

Dr Nadia revealed that she and Dr. Thamer Al-Issa, vice-president of the KOA, accepted an invitation from the Sultanate of Oman for training the GPs.

The invitation to the Sultanate comes as part of continuation of KOA’s role in supporting all at the regional level, according to Kuwaiti newspaper Al Jarida.

Dr Nadia in a statement published by the Kuwaiti daily pointed out that October 20 is observed as the International Day of Osteoporosis and a set of programs will be launched to raise the level of Osteoporosis awareness in the Sultanate.
