MUSCAT: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has sent a cable of condolences to the President of Russian Federation on the death of former President of the erstwhile Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) Mikhail Gorbachev. The last President of the USSR passed away at the age of 91 on Tuesday.
