MUSCAT: The department of Hindi, Indian School Al Wadi Al Kabir added one more feather to its cap by organizing GYAN GANGA – an Inter-school HINDI QUIZ COMPETITION on 17th August 2022. Avid quizzers from 12 Indian Schools in Oman participated in the exciting competition with great zeal and enthusiasm. It was conducted by Mr. Anil Bartare, head of the department of Hindi, and Mrs. Nowshad Firoz, senior faculty of the department.  

The quiz questions were based on Hindi grammar and literature. A variety of questions were asked ranging from MCQs to the ones based on audio-visual clues. The participants showcased their vast knowledge by rapidly answering most of the questions.  

Indian School Ibra was declared the winner whereas Indian School Sohar and Indian  School Salalah jointly bagged the First Runner-up position. Indian School Nizwa emerged as Second Runner-up. The event was a grand success and the participants enjoyed it while they gathered new information. ISWK always encourages such competitions and hopes to bring out the best in the student community through such competitive events, while ensuring that the children learn in all possible ways – not just from textbooks.
