MUSCAT: The total assets of Islamic banks and windows combined amounted to about OMR 6.2 billion.
This is 15.9 per cent of the total assets of the banking sector in the Sultanate of Oman by the end of June 2022. The sector has registered an increase of 9.6 per cent compared to the same period in the previous year.
The total balance of financing granted increased by 11.2 per cent to reach about OMR 5.1 billion.

Deposits with Islamic banks and windows also recorded an increase of 12.8 per cent to reach about OMR 4.7 billion by the end of June 2022.
