MUSCAT: Two pilgrims from Oman died, while 18 were injured as they were travelling met with an accident on Wednesday.
According to the preliminary report from Riyadh, the bus was carrying Umrah pilgrims from Oman to Saudi Arabia. “The accident occurred in the Al-Muwayh area, which is about 180 km away from the Miqat Qarn Al Manazil (Al Sail Al Kabir) in the Taif region. The pilgrims were heading to the Holy Land to perform Umrah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,” a source informed The Arabian Stories.
According to the source, the Oman Embassy in Riyadh is closely monitoring the incident. “18 injuries were reported and they have been given immediate medical care,” the source added.
