Oman company begins airborne survey for metallic minerals

The first phase of the airborne survey will cover Masirah Island on an area of 658 sq.km.

MUSCAT: The Minerals Development Oman (MDO) has announced the commencement of the airborne survey for exploration of metallic minerals.

This survey is conducted in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy and Minerals along with a number of Government entities.

The first phase of the project will cover Masirah Island on an area of 658 sq.km.

The next phases will target big areas in number of governorates including North and South Al Batinah, Al Dhahirah, Al Buraimi, Al Dakhiliyah and North Al Sharqiyah.
