MUSCAT: As travellers and tourists flock to Oman to make the most of the ongoing Khareef season in the Sultanate, the authorities here are taking all the necessary actions to make sure that guests receive a warm welcome.
On Thursday, the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism issued a notice to all hotel and tourist establishments in the Sultanate of Oman to prepare their facilities in line with the stipulated quality standards.
This move on the ministry’s part would ensure that guests staying in hotels and tourist homes in the Sultanate are offered the best quality services.

Within the framework of the ministry’s keenness to follow up the commitment of hotel and tourist establishments to classification and quality standards, all owners and managers of the licensed hotel and tourist establishments to prepare their facilities in line with the standards of quality, cleanliness, service level and customer satisfaction stipulated in the Tourism Law and its executive regulations.
As of October 1, 2022, the ministry will make periodic visits to all hotels and tourist establishments to monitor the establishments’ compliance with these standards. All necessary legal measures will be taken against establishments violating laws in this regard.
