MUSCAT : A floral carpet design competition on the occasion of Onam will be held a the Golden Oasis Hotel on August 26. This is the first time ever such a competition is being held by the Indian Media Form (IMF) in support with the Modern Exchange. This was announced during a press conference at Ananthapuri Hotel on Tuesday.

Speaking about the event, Kabeer Yousuf, President of the IMF said, “The contest is open to every nationality and of every age group. Individuals as well as a team (of five) can take part in the event. Soon after the registration, top twenty five contestants will be selected (on first come basis); and they shall take part at the finals on August 26. A team of judges shall take a call on the winners based on the style, theme and décor of the designs awards for three winners and two consolations along with certificates will also be awarded.”

The competition shall start at 8am until 11am at the hotel. Awards will be announced the same day. Registration starts today and the last date of registration is August 23.

We, as part of our CSR activities, have been actively engaged into several such events with the aim to give back o the people of Oman like free insurance and the like.”
