MUSCAT: With an aim of encouraging and supporting clean, and sustainable energy, the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion has issued an optional Omani standard for hydrogen vehicles that specifies performance requirements related to safety.
Nadia bint Mohammed Al-Siyabiya, Director of the Standards Department at MOCIIP, said that the preparation of this standard comes in response to the government’s plans to encourage and support sustainable clean energy.
She explained that it was worked on based on the global regulation of hydrogen vehicles issued by the Global Forum for Harmonization of Vehicle Regulations, whose regulations are issued.
