MUSCAT: The Sultanate of Oman boasts a wide range diversity in its mountains, plains and beaches, making it an ideal place for exploratory and adventure tourism.
Adventurer Badr Saleem Al Salti, who joined a team specialized in exploration and tourism challenge in 2015, spends most of his time practicing mountain climbing and guiding mountain trek groups.
Al Salti told Oman News Agency (ONA) that adventure tourism in Oman differs according to the season. In the summer, the team explores valleys with constant water flow and cool caves, due to the hot weather. In the winter, the explorers take the challenge in mountains and deserts, he added.
