MUSCAT: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) on Sunday arrested a person on charges of fraud after he promoted fake offers to study abroad.
In a statement issued, ROP said the person took money from a number of citizens. “The General Department of Criminal Investigation and Research arrested a person on charges of fraud after he promoted fake offers to study outside the Sultanate of Oman. He took the money from a number of citizens. Legal procedures are being completed against him,” ROP said.
The Royal Oman Police urged everyone the need to verify the credibility of the party submitting the advertisements and to review it with the competent official authorities to verify their authenticity.
