Omani trade delegation to visit Iran

The trade between Iran and Oman is expected to reach $2 billion by March 20, 2023, Chairman of the Iran-Oman Joint Chamber said.

MUSCAT: Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy Mahdi Safari announced that an Omani trade delegation is scheduled to visit Iran next week.

The Iranian official made these statements to Iranian media, expressing his satisfaction with the results of many issues approved by the joint economic committee between the two countries.

Chairman of the Iran-Oman Joint Chamber, Mohsen Zarabi has announced that a special barter system would be established for trade between the two countries, Iranian newspapers reported on Monday.

Zarabi noted that trade between the two countries grew by 145 per cent in the first two months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21-May 21), compared to the same time period last year.

Zarabi also said that trade between Iran and Oman is expected to reach $2 billion by March 20, 2023.
