MUSCAT: The population of the Sultanate reached, as of Monday, July 18, 2022 has reached 4,744,922, the statistical bulletin by the National Centre for Statistics and Information has revealed.
Out of the total population, 59.8 per cent, which is 2,836,319 individuals, are Omani citizens while expats constitute 40.2 per cent, which translates to 1,908,603 individuals, in the Sultanate.
The National Centre for Statistics and Information released the bulletin for the month of June 2022, which revealed that the total number of live births in the Sultanate by the end of December 2021 was 82,224.

While, the total number of births until the end of May 2022 was 29,075, including 26,711 Omanis, and 2,364 expatriates.
On the other hand, the total number of deaths reached 12,648 until the end of December 2021 and by end of May 2022, it had reached 4,234 deaths, of which 3,583 were Omanis and 651 were expatriates.
