Oman participates in quinquennial meeting on Yemen

During the meeting, discussions were held on supporting peace efforts and arriving at a comprehensive diplomatic solution to resolve the conflict in Yemen.

MUSCAT: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, participated in the quinquennial meeting on Yemen on Tuesday, July 19.

During the meeting, discussions were held on supporting peace efforts and arriving at a comprehensive diplomatic solution to resolve the conflict in Yemen.

The e-meeting, organised by the British Foreign Office, was chaired by Amanda Milling, Minister of State for Middle East Affairs at the British Foreign Office. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom and the United States of America, and the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations for Yemen also participated in the meeting.

The Sultanate of Oman was represented in the meeting by His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Harthy, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Diplomatic Affairs, and a number of officials in the Ministry.
