MUSCAT: The Royal Oman Police has deployed patrols along the road leading to Dhofar Governorate.
The General Directorate of Police Aviation has been supporting operations and providing air ambulance service in emergency cases, especially during accidents which require urgent transportation.
The Royal Oman Police has advised all visitors to abide by the traffic laws and regulations and stay within the speed limit for their safety and that of others.

Commuters are also advised to pay attention to the presence of stray animals, especially at night. The authorities have requested travellers to carry a first aid box and to ensure that the vehicle has been regularly maintained.
